Boy, what a fun week. Just got done with another
Celebrity Chef Showcase at the Rafters last Sunday
Feb. 24th. The audience was great. I had the pleasure
to talk about Corned Beef and its preparation, Beef
& Irish Stout stew, and prepared Steak Patrick
(an old restaurant days favorite). Fellow Personal
Chef Pam Gibbs prepared a decadent Irish Stout
Chocolate Fudge Brownies.
Besides the straight cooking end of it, we were taught about some of the great Irish Beers from Bob Lempinen of “Distinguished Brands” sampling O’Hara’s Irish Stout, Fuller’s Porter and O’Hara’s Irish Red.
We were also educated on Spice’s from the great folks from “The Spice House”
I want to thank again the organizers of these events, Mr Peter O’Connell, and Marie Rose from the Rafters Restaurant.
This coming Saturday, March 1st, (Can spring be far away!) come see me at “The Fresh Market” located right by Brookfield Square, I will be cooking Dijon Rosemary Lamb Chops with a Green Onion Mint Orzo. After sampling you can explore the market, and see all the great things they have available for the home cook.
